How it Works

Trova Disco reunites disc golfers with lost discs. Someone finds a disc, photographs it, and the owner gets a text with a link to claim it — then the two arrange the return.

Trova Disco is a lost-and-found service for disc golf. When someone finds a disc on a course, they photograph the front and back and report it; the app reads the name and phone number written on the back and texts the owner a private claim link. The owner confirms the disc is theirs, and the two of them arrange the return through a message thread — meeting at a course, a tournament, a drop-off point, or shipping it. It’s free to use with no limits on how many discs you can report, which matters because pond divers surface dozens at a time. The money side is optional: a finder can ask a recovery fee for a genuinely hard retrieval, an owner can add a tip, and the platform takes a flat 10% of those plus donations. Finding and returning a disc itself never costs anything. The name is Italian for “find disc” — hence the flag/wordmark/flag banner on every page. Beyond the core flow there’s a lost-disc board where owners post discs they’ve lost (with two-sided matching against incoming finds), a full admin panel built around dispute resolution — a dossier showing every photo, message, status change, and delivery attempt for any disc — plus park admins who can moderate just their own course, reporting by course and date, and SMS compliance machinery for carrier rules.
